Political Cartoon: Philadelphia law enforcement working together for a safer city
Daily takes from Pulitzer Prize-winning cartoonist Signe Wilkinson.
You need a scorecard to know who’s feuding with whom in Philadelphia’s well-oiled law enforcement community. The District Attorney and US Attorney General are in a death match. The police department shows incredible bravery and commitment one week and dissolves into a sexual harassment quagmire the next. The mayor who oversees it all emits inspirational remarks like, “Obviously, I am acutely aware of the fact that I am a white male, and I do have concerns about how the optics of diversity (in the police dept.) need to be maintained.” Reassured, Philadelphia?
