A two-time All-Star making his second start, Marte leads all second basemen with an .877 OPS. He batted .387 in the Diamondbacks’ NLCS victory over the Phillies last season.

2. Shohei Ohtani, DH, Dodgers

The four-time All-Star and two-time MVP leads the NL with 29 home runs and a 1.035 OPS. He has a shot at the triple crown, ranking first in homers, second in batting average (.316) and third in RBIs (69).

3. Trea Turner, SS, Phillies

Only a hamstring injury that kept him out of 38 games has been able to slow Turner in his second season with the Phillies. He is batting .349 with a .941 OPS and hit eight homers in his last 12 games.

4. Bryce Harper, 1B, Phillies

An eight-time All-Star, Harper is playing in his first Midsummer Classic since 2018. The NL’s top vote-getter leads all first basemen with a .982 OPS, and is third in outs above average.

5. William Contreras, C, Brewers

The two-time All-Star leads all catchers with a .286 batting average and a .352 on-base percentage.

6. Christian Yelich, OF, Brewers

A three-time All-Star, the 2018 National League MVP leads the NL with a .326 batting average and a .412 on-base percentage.

7. Alec Bohm, 3B, Phillies

Bohm is one of 32 first-time All-Stars, and two years ago this looked liked a long shot. He is fourth in baseball with 70 RBIs, and his 33 doubles at the break are already a career high.

8. Teoscar Hernandez, OF, Dodgers

Hernandez is starting in place of the Padres’ Fernando Tatis Jr., who won the fan vote but is injured and won’t play. The Home Run Derby champ has 19 home runs in his first season with the Dodgers.

9. Jurickson Profar, OF, Padres

A first-time All-Star, the 31-year-old former top Rangers prospect returns to Arlington slashing .305/.394/.476 with 14 home runs and 59 RBIs.

SP: Paul Skenes, Pirates

The No. 1 pick in the 2023 draft has quickly emerged as one of the game’s most exciting players. He has a 1.90 ERA and a 0.92 WHIP in 11 starts with 89 strikeouts in 66 1/3 innings.
