1. Andrew Painter, RHP

Scott Lauber

Well, there aren’t any statistics to speak of in 2024 for Painter, who has been working his way back from Tommy John elbow surgery. But how about this number: 2025, when, if all goes well, he will make his long-awaited Phillies debut.

2. Aidan Miller, SS

1.029 OPS in August: The Phillies’ first-round pick in 2023 needed time to adjust to high-A Jersey Shore after being promoted in June. He figured things out in August, slashing .337/.415/.614 with three homers and 16 RBIs through Wednesday.

3. Justin Crawford, CF

65.9% ground ball rate: His game begins with speed — he had 95 steals in 200 games — but the Phillies hope he will generate power by getting the ball in the air more. He has increased his fly-ball percentage across two levels this season.

4. Eduardo Tait, C

.877 OPS: Tait, who just turned 18, had no trouble with pitching in rookie league, slashing .321/.377/.500 with 49 RBIs in 51 games before moving up to low-A Clearwater. He has also thrown out 46% of base stealers across two levels.

5. Starlyn Caba, SS

.392 OBP: While known for his smooth defense, Caba also shows a good feel for the strike zone, especially for an 18-year-old. He walked more than he struck out (64 BBs to 47 Ks) in rookie ball and at Clearwater.

6. Mick Abel, RHP

15.1% walk rate: The 2020 first-round pick was expected to be an option for the Phillies this season, but he has struggled with his control at triple-A Lehigh Valley. His walk rate is a career high, and his strikeout rate (22%) is a low.

7. Gabriel Rincones Jr., OF

.581 slugging percentage in August: After missing two months with a thumb injury, the lefty-hitting Rincones took off at double-A Reading in August with a .936 OPS and six homers in 86 at-bats.

8. Bryan Rincon, SS

31.4% strikeout rate: Scouts love his defense, but Rincon struggled against single-A pitching this season before getting injured in May. He struck out in 31.4% of his at-bats at high-A Jersey Shore.

9. Devin Saltiban, 2B

.901 OPS in second half: The versatile Saltiban has put up better numbers in the second half at Clearwater, slashing .271/.401/.500 compared to .212/.305/.368 over the first half. He has 16 homers and 21 steals this season.

10. Seth Johnson, RHP

2.50 combined ERA: Johnson has made two starts for triple-A Lehigh Valley, posting a 0.90 ERA in 10 innings. He had a 2.63 ERA in 18 starts in the Baltimore organization before coming over in the Gregory Soto trade at the deadline.
