Everything you need to know about Beyoncé at the Linc
Where to park, what to bring, and what to eat at the concert.
You’ll be “sleepin’ real good at night” because “Bey is back” in town.
Beyoncé returns to Lincoln Financial Field on July 12 with her much-anticipated “Renaissance World Tour.” The Philly date will be the tour’s first American stop.
From a mirror-tiled cowboy hat to Crystal Waters’ house music influence, Philly has had a few contributions to Queen Bey’s magic.
Her “On the Run Tour II” with husband Jay-Z in 2018 and “Formation World Tour” in 2016 had previously brought her to the Eagles football stadium. She also performed at Wells Fargo Center on the “Mrs. Carter World Tour” in 2013 and headlined Jay-Z’s Philly music festival Made in America in 2013 and 2015.
Sitting atop a metallic horse dressed in that Philly-made cowboy hat, the 32 Grammy Award winner announced her world tour in February, which began in Stockholm on May 10. Bey will be in Toronto on July 8 to begin her North American run, followed by her visit to South Philly.
For one night, Philly Beyhivers will witness the magnum opus that is her Renaissance album. Queen B will perform a solo show of her best hits with Kevin JZ Prodigy, a Philly ballroom icon nicknamed “The Voice of Philadelphia,” serving as the emcee.
As the Linc prepares to follow her “Virgo Groove,” we’ve compiled everything you need to know to get “on that new vibration” for a night you’ll be “tellin’ everybody” about.
Note: Schedules and times are subject to change.
📅 Schedule
The concert is July 12. With no opening acts, you have to be on time for this show. Don’t be late or you’ll miss a couple of bars — our Virgo queen will start the show at 7 p.m. sharp.
✔️ What you can bring
Bags
Bags are welcome as long as they’re not, in Succession terms, “ludicrously capacious.” The type of bags permitted include:
Clear plastic or vinyl bags that do not exceed 12 inches by 6 inches by 12 inches.
One-gallon clear plastic freezer bags (zip-top bag or similar).
Small clutch bags that are no larger than 4.5 inches by 6.5 inches with or without a handle/strap. (These can be carried in along with one of the clear bag options.)
Signs
The sign professing your love for Queen Bey can be no bigger than 18 inches by 24 inches. Signs with sticks/poles longer than 12 inches are not allowed.
Remember that signs, banners, or similar items with content that’s “obscene or indecent, not event-related, potentially offensive to other patrons” or “otherwise deemed dangerous or inappropriate” are prohibited.
Signs blocking a fellow Beyhiver’s view, or hung on the stadium structure, will be confiscated. They can’t have commercial messages, logos, or political endorsements. No wood or metal signs are permitted, either.
Cameras
Bring your camera and capture Beyoncé in all her glory, but remember to bring it in a clear case with lenses no larger than 6 inches. No video cameras are allowed.
If you’re worried about having a camera, it’s probably best to leave it at home — you don’t want to travel to the Linc only to have no place to put it for safekeeping.
Leave diaper bags at home
Diaper bags with childcare items are not allowed. Carry these in clear bags. If you need to bring in an insulated bag for nursing or bottle supplies, email Fan Services at contact@lincolnfinancialfield.com for instructions. Nursing equipment can be brought in only through the North Gate entrance.
❌ What you can’t bring
Leave behind your backpacks, fanny packs, seat cushions, camera bags, binocular cases, or any other bag larger than the accepted size. You’ll also need to keep the alcohol, beverage bottles, and selfie sticks at home. If it’s raining, bring a coat — umbrellas are a no-no. Check online for the complete list of prohibited items and behavior.
Exceptions can be made for medically necessary items after proper inspection; email or call Fan Services at 215-463-5500 before arrival.
Entry for exceptions will be at the North Gate, located next to the flagpoles by the Xfinity Gate — it is also the ADA-designated gate for guests with disabilities.
🚭 Can you smoke at the Linc?
Smoking is prohibited in all areas of the stadium following city ordinance. Designated smoking areas include the Pepsi Plaza, outside the Verizon Wireless Gate across from Section 101, the south end of the stadium across from Section 113, and each club and suite entry (for club and suite guests only). Stick to the outlined areas or you may be kicked out of the stadium.
🍴 What to eat and drink
Fuel up for Queen Bey at the concessions. Grab a slice from America’s Pie at Sections 120 and 219, or a pretzel from Philly Pretzel Factory at Section 106. Find gluten-free hot dogs, cookies, and Red Bridge beer in Sections 120 and 216, vegetarian burgers in Section 110, and kosher items in Section 116.
Craft beer is at Liberty Bell Tap stands located in Sections 104, 113, 117, 123, 128, 129, 131, 136, 214, 226, 243. The club-level bars and markets offer local and domestic brands. Liquor/mixed drinks are located in Sections 102, 106, 109, 111, 114, 117, 129, 130, 134, M11, 203, 211, 224, 232.
🚗 How to get to the Linc
SEPTA
SEPTA travelers should head south along the Broad Street subway line. Exit Pattison Avenue, the last southbound stop.
Center City: Take the Broad Street Line south or Route 4 bus southbound to Broad Street.
West Philly: Hop on the Market-Frankford Line east to 15th Street Station, transfer to Broad Street, and head southbound.
Suburbs: Ride the Regional Rail train to Suburban Station at 16th and JFK, walk through the concourse to City Hall Station, and transfer to the Broad Street Line heading south.
Western suburbs: Take the suburban bus or trolley to the 69th Street Transportation Center, transfer to the eastbound Market-Frankford Line to the 15th Street Station, then get on the Broad Street Line to Pattison Avenue.
For the PATCO Speedline, take a westbound train to the 12th/13th Locust Street PATCO Station. Exit the PATCO station and hop on the SEPTA Broad Street Line southbound at SEPTA’s Walnut-Locust Station (mere blocks away). Take the Broad Street Line to the last stop, NRG Station, and exit there. Tip: Ask the cashier at the PATCO station for a round-trip ticket.
SEPTA added 10 local trains to its regular service on the Broad Street Line to NRG Station for the concert. Trains depart from Fern Rock Station every 10 minutes from 6:05 p.m. to 8:15 p.m. Be sure to go directly to NRG Station after to catch both the Broad Street Line and connecting services.
Uber and Lyft
Ride-share and taxi apps like Uber, Lyft, and Curb are good options to get to and from the stadium. One Reddit post discussed the best place to get picked up. Here are some suggestions from internet denizens:
“Uber drivers will definitely be picking people up, it’s probably best to either walk near Xfinity Live! (1100 Pattison Ave.) or go toward broad for easier access.”
“The farther away you can get from there, whether it’s taking the BSL (Broad Street Line) or just walking up Broad towards the city or further down Pattinson in either direction, will make it much easier to get any of those options, and save you money just sitting in traffic that’s barely moving. Also, if you’re thinking of a regular taxi for that, get the Curb app to call one to you.”
Parking
Expect to pay $35 for cars and $70 for oversized vehicles. K Lot opens at 2 p.m., and all inner gates of the stadium open at 5:30 p.m. Check online for specific coordinates to plug into your GPS, plus maps showing where traffic will be directed from each parking lot after the concert. Drop-off zones for guests with disabilities are located at Lot L off Darien Street and Lot J off 11th Street.
Beat the traffic in the stadium parking lots and park your car at garages nearby. You can book a parking spot ahead of time with Park Whiz, which lists Express Parking at Jetro lot on South Darien Street, about 0.1 miles away from the venue. Other sites include Spot Hero, which currently offers PHL Park & Ride at 2015 Penrose Ave. (36-minute walk) and 1485 McKean St. garage (45-minute walk).
