Nine in a Row for Tocchet

Rick Tocchet owns the Flyers record for consecutive games scoring a goal.

When Scott Hartnell opened the scoring for the Flyers Tuesday night with his 200th career goal, it marked the sixth consecutive game he had lit the light. That is three games short of the Flyers record set by Rick Tocchet (right), who connected in each of the first nine games of March in 1989 (below).

Notable: Tocchet entered the last 10 minutes of the third period without a goal in three of the nine games ... The Flyers were just 2-3-4 over the nine games ... The goals were Nos. 31 through 43 for the season for Tocchet. He finished the season with 45 ... The streak was stopped at Chicago by Blackhawks goalie Alain Chevrier, who stopped all five of Tocchet's shots on March 22.
