Girl-oriented grants up for grabs

Nonprofits interested in applying for up to $20,000 in grant funding to help Chester County women and girls can attend the Chester County Fund for Women and Girls' "How to Apply" workshop on Wednesday.
Held from 9 to 11 a.m, the workshop will include an update on this year's grant guidelines and application process. The event will enable agencies to ask questions, network with other agencies serving women and girls in Chester County, and learn about the this year's funding priorities: women and girls' economic independence, health and safety.
The Fund's grantmaking program will award $225,000 total in grants this year. The Fund's volunteers, Grants Allocation Committee, reviews and recommends grant awards each year. The grant application and guidelines is posted on the Fund's website at www.ccwomenandgirls.org; the deadline to apply is Jan. 27.
