Killer sought in gas-station slaying

Police are hunting for the gunman who shot and killed a man during an argument at a Wynnefield gas station last night.

The ambush happened about 11:45 a.m. at the Gulf gas station at Wynnefield and Bryn Mawr avenues, said Officer Tanya Little, a police spokeswoman. Several men were talking in the parking lot when the gunman approached and shot the 23-year-old victim in the back, Little said. The man, whose name wasn't released, died at 12:15 a.m. this morning at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.
