A 25-year-old man was critically injured in a shooting on 49th Street near Catharine in West Philadelphia Thursday night, police said.

The man was shot once in his stomach around 9:20 p.m. and walked to Cedar Park clutching his stomach, said Lt. John Walker of the Southwest Detective Division.

The victim's friends took him to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvaniva, where he was listed in critical condition as of 1 a.m.

Police were unsure of the shooter's motive and a description of the suspect was not available early Friday morning.

Police interviewed the people who drove the man away from the scene Thursday night. Cops said the victim had tattoos on his face that read "F--- Everybody" across his cheeks.

Police said there were no witnesses and no arrests were made.
