Police have identified two murder victims killed in Philadelphia on Friday: a woman beaten to death in the city’s Frankford section and a man shot to death in Fern Rock.
Police have identified two murder victims killed in Philadelphia on Friday: a woman beaten to death in the city's Frankford section and a man shot to death in Fern Rock.
Ramona Bell, 49, was rushed from a house on Salem Street near Foulkrod to Temple University Hospital shortly before 3 p.m. Friday suffering from severe blunt-force trauma to the head, police said. Bell, who lived on Harrison Street near Darrah about two blocks from where she was fatally beaten, was pronounced dead at 7:55 p.m.
No arrests have been made in Bell's murder.
Fatally shot in the back on 13th Street near Olney Avenue at 7:44 p.m. Friday was 25-year-old Daniel Samuel-Bey, who lived on 12th Street just north of Nedro Avenue in the same neighborhood where he was slain. Samuel-Bey was taken to Albert Einstein Medical Center and pronounced dead there at 8 p.m. Friday.
No one has been arrested in Samuel-Bey's killing, and police have not released a motive.
