Police have identified a body found Thursday, wrapped in a sheet and dumped in a secluded North Philadelphia alley, as Shaquille Hall, 21.
Police had no current address available for Hall, who died of multiple gunshot wounds, said Officer Christine O'Brien, a police spokeswoman. Police haven't determined a motive or developed suspects.
Several neighborhood kids made the grisly find just after 6 p.m. Thursday on 11th Street near Huntingdon. Hall's body had been wrapped in a red bedsheet and secured with duct tape, with his feet, clad in Converse sneakers, sticking out of the bottom.
Police believe someone carried the body and dumped it into the alley, a narrow, debris-strewn walkway connecting Huntingdon and Warnock streets. Tipsters can call homicide detectives at (215) 686-3334 or -3335.
