Police investigate deadly shooting in West Philly

Updated: To include victim's name

A man was shot and killed in West Philadelphia Wednesday afternoon, police said.

The 32 year-old man identified by police as Khalif Lawus was shot multiple times in the chest and torso on 57th Street near Wyalusing at 3:33 p.m., police said.

He was transferred by police to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania where he was pronounced dead at 3:50 p.m. The shooting is still under investigation. No arrests have been made and police do not have a motive for the shooting.
