Community Meeting on Amphibious Vehicle Tours on the Schuylkill
When: December 15, 2010 at 7 PM
Where: The Central Branch of the Free Library of Philadelphia, 1901 Vine Street
With community interest and concern about the possibility of Amphibious Vehicle Tours, commonly called "The Ducks" on the Lower Schuylkill, the Schuylkill River Park Alliance will host an open informational community forum.
The Amphibious Vehicle Tours on Lower Schuylkill River meeting is Wednesday, December 15th at 7 PM, in the Auditorium of the Central Branch of the Free Library of Philadelphia on Logan Square, 1901 Vine Street.
Deputy Mayor and Managing Director Negrin will speak about the City's Request for Proposals (RFP) for an Amphibious Vehicle Tours on the Lower Schuylkill at this public meeting.
Potential operators, the respondents to the RFP, are invited to attend the meeting to listen to the community input and concerns, but are not obligated to making formal presentations.
This meeting hosted by the Schuylkill River Park Alliance is sponsored in association with Philadelphia Parks and Recreation Commission, The Philadelphia Parks Alliance, Logan Square Neighborhood Association and the Center City Residents Association.
Russell Meddin of the Schuylkill River Park Alliance said, "An open forum for all Philadelphians to hear about this proposal and to voice concerns or indicate interest is good for the city as a whole and particularly for city residents who use the parks along the Schuylkill."
The meeting is open to the public and there is no cost to attend. We do ask that those wishing to attend RSVP at http://www.eventbrite.com/event/718871163 No ticket required to attend.
