Pierogi inside a sandwich

The Spicy Chicken Stacker from Pierogie Kitchen in Roxborough combines a potato Cheddar pierogi, a spicy pan-fried chicken breast, bacon, Cheddar and sautéed onions topped with garlic pepper mayo on a toasted Kaiser roll.

You've had boiled pierogis and pan-fried pierogis, topping the Polish delicacy with slivered onions and melted butter.

Now how about a pierogi tucked inside a sandwich.

The Spicy Chicken Stacker ($7.50) from Pierogie Kitchen in Roxborough combines a potato Cheddar pierogi, a spicy pan-fried chicken breast, bacon, Cheddar and sautéed onions topped with garlic pepper mayo on a toasted Kaiser roll.

It's the newer cousin of the PK Stacker - kielbasa, sauteed sauerkraut, onion mix, and spicy mustard, all stacked on grilled rye bread - and the Patty Stacker - a mushroom pierogi stacked alongside roast beef and melted Swiss topped with mild horseradish sauce and served on grilled rye.
