WATCH: 2nd State, Alleged Pizza revealed on 'Bar Rescue' Philly episode

It was early September when Jon Taffer came to town with the Bar Rescue crew to revamp Lickety Split at 4th and South. But by the end of October, the owners of Lickety Split — now 2nd State Lounge — removed nearly all of Taffer's changes.

Now, though, with the episode — dubbed "To Protect and to (Over) Serve" — having been premiered last night, we can finally get a look at Taffer's apparently disagreeable grand vision.

As you may remember, Taffer changed not only Lickety Split's name by splitting it into 2nd Street Lounge and Alleged Pizza, but also removed elements like comedy and music acts, and added in promotions like drink specials and the like.

Judging by the episode, owner Tom Gaylord, a former Philly detective, seemed excited for the changes, saying at one point, "I'm so happy that you called Jon in to help me."

The reveal of 2nd State mirrored that excitement, with Gaylord and his staff offering the typical "oohs" and "ahhs" as is the makeover show standard. There is little to no indication on camera that Gaylord was unhappy with Taffer's changes. But, then, editing will do that.

Oddly enough, though, 2nd State is not the only bar in the area to slough off Taffer's input, with Glenside's Plush Nightspot already having shrugged off Taffer's "Osteria Calabria" moniker.

Plush changed its name back from what the staff referred to as "The O.C." by late October, and its episode of Bar Rescue is scheduled to be shown on Spike this coming, Sunday, November 16.

Check out the reveal from the 2nd State episode of Bar Rescue below (the episode will be replayed on Spike at 8 p.m. Nov. 16):
