Man hospitalized in critical condition after Fairhill shooting

Inquirer staff writer Sam Wood reports:

A North Philadelphia man is in critical condition this morning following an overnight shooting in the city's Fairhill section.

The victim standing in front of a Chinese take out restaurant on the 600 block of W. Clearfield Street when a gunman with a goatee approached about 8 p.m. and fired several times, police said.

The victim, who police identified only as a neighborhood man in his 20s, was taken to Temple University Hospital.
