Man shot dead in S.W. Philly

Homicide detectives are investigating the shooting death of a 24-year-old Southwest Philadelphia man.

Police say that the body of Christian White, of the 1400 block of South 52nd Street, was found at 11:38 last night on a front porch a few doors from his home.

He had suffered a single gunshot wound to the head and was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. The motive for the shooting is unknown.
