School delays, no closings due to weather

The Inquirer's Peter Mucha reports:

Snow and sleet coated cars and grassy areas in the farther western and northern suburbs, but roads, especially major highways, appear to be mostly wet this morning.

PennDOT has been doing precautionary salting of bridges, since they freeze up more easily, 6ABC reported this morning.

As a result, schools are open in the region, though some schools are opening two hours late, especially in northern Bucks, Berks and Lehigh Counties. See NBC10's list.

The temperature should continue to rise, with highs today through Friday expected to be in the mid 40s.
