Indego offering unlimited bike parking at Center City station
Indego riders who have had trouble finding an open space to dock their bikes after a morning commute are in luck: One Center City station will now have unlimited parking.
The bike-share system is now offering what it calls "valet bike parking" Monday through Friday at the station at 18th Street and John F. Kennedy Boulevard, Indego said in its newsletter Wednesday.
That means Indego riders who drop their bikes off there won't have to worry about finding an open dock from 7:30 to 11 a.m. weekdays.
The station is located near multiple major Center City offices, including the Comcast building. The valet parking could also be a good option for riders who encounter full docks at other nearby stations. Indego rebalances the bikes as needed, but stations near City Hall and elsewhere in Center City regularly fill up during the morning rush.
Indego said the valet program will run until at least the end of September. It could continue through October, depending on demand.
