Jimmy Buffett and Zac Brown Band added to Atlantic City beach concert series

Toby Keith and Florida Georgia Line also playing surf side.

Jimmy Buffett and the Zac Brown Band have been added to the concert series on the beach in Atlantic City this summer.

Buffett and his Coral Reefer Band will lead the Hawaiian shirt frat party on August 13 with Philadelphia's own G. Love & Special Sauce opening, and country jammer Brown - who is also playing the BB&T Center in Camden tonight - kicks off Labor Day weekend early on Sept. 1, two days before the previously announced Florida Georgia Line show on Sept. 3.

The name of Toby Keith, who Atlantic City mayor Don Guardian has said is playing on July 23, was not mentioned in this morning's Live Nation announcement. But I wouldn't fret, Shock'n Y'all fans: Standard practice in the concert industry is to not officially announce shows until an artist's other dates within close geographical proximity have passed, and Keith is playing the PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel on June 18, so expect the announcement once he's played his final note in central Jersey.

The total number of shows on the beach this summer is supposed to be six, up from two last year when Rascal Flatts and Maroon 5 played. Including Keith, this year's mostly country count adds up to four so far, so look for two more shows to be unveiled.

And keep in mind these are not free beach shows: Tickets will be on sale via Ticketmaster, with Brown ducats going up first, on Friday May 27 at 10 a.m.
