PennDot announces road closures in L. Moreland, Merion, Souderton

Lower Moreland -- Route 63 (Moreland Avenue) will be closed between Route 611 (Old York Road) and Edge Hill Road weekdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., starting Tuesday, Sept. 3 for water main replacement. The weekday closure will be in effect through the end of September. Route 63 traffic will be detoured over Davisville Road, Terwood Road and Edge Hill Road. Local access will be maintained up to the construction zone.
Upper and Lower Merion -- Route 320 (Montgomery Avenue) between Spring Mill Road and Matsonford Road is closed for overhead bridge work. The weekday closure will be in effect through the end of September. Traffic will be detoured over Spring Mill Road, Old Gulph Road and Matsonford Road. Local access will be maintained up to the construction zone.
Upper Merion and Tredyffrin -- Croton Road between Upper Gulph Road and Dewitt Road, weekdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. starting Sept. 3 for water main replacement. The weekday closure will be in effect through the beginning of November. Traffic will be detoured over Upper Gulph Road and King of Prussia Road. Local access will be maintained up to the construction zone.
Souderton -- County Line Road between Bethlehem Pike and Route 113 will be closed through Friday, and again Sept. 3 to Sept. 6, from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. for water main installation. Traffic will be detoured over Bethlehem Pike and Route 113. Local access will be maintained up to the construction zone.
Gladwyne -- Conshohocken State Road between Waverly Road and Black Rock Road is closed from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays through Sept. 25, for water-main replacement. The detour is Waverly Road to Youngsford Road.
These come in addition to the closure of Arcola Road Bridge in Norristown, Stenton Avenue in Springfield, lane reductions on I-95, hillside stabilization on I-76 near the Conshohocken Curve, and higher weight restrictions on dozens of state- and county-owned bridges.
