Eagles add scout Jeremiah

As pointed out by Adam Caplan of Scout.com, according to the Eagles' Web site, the team has hired Daniel Jeremiah as a College Area Scout.

If Jeremiah's name sounds familiar, it's because he's been all over the internet in the past year, running the site movethesticks.com (no relation).

Prior to running his own Web site, Jeremiah served as a scout for the Ravens and Browns.

I was an inconsistent listener to Jeremiah's podcast. I remember in one episode before the draft, he described being responsible for providing a "van grade" during his days as a scout. Jeremiah would pick draft prospects up from the airport during their official visits and had to grade their performance during the short ride to the team facility.

Jeremiah had quite the Twitter audience (over 19,000 followers), but nothing's been posted on his account since May 7. Coincidentally, when asked earlier this month who he thought would be Defensive Rookie of the Year, Jeremiah said either Eric Berry or Eagles' first-round pick Brandon Graham.

Per Caplan, Jeremiah replaces Johnathan Stigall, who went to join Tom Heckert's staff in Cleveland.

Bleeding Green Nation has a good write-up on Jeremiah.
