Lower Merion police warn of car break-ins
Lower Merion police remind residents to lock their cars following rash of break-ins
Lower Merion police on Wednesday said thieves broke into numerous unlocked cars over the previous two days.
The thefts occurred in the Bryn Mawr and Rosemont sections of the township, including the 200 block of Curwen Road, the 1500 block of County Line Road, the first block of Rosemont Avenue, the 100 block of Airdale Road, the 300 block of North Ithan Avenue, and the 1400 block of Orchard Way.
The thefts took place between 4 p.m. Monday and 10 a.m. Tuesday, and all involved vehicles that were unlocked. Police said loose change and small items of value were taken.
Police reminded residents to park in lighted area, lock all doors and remove any items of value.
Additionally, police ask residents to immediately report any suspicious people or vehicles.
