Roy Halladay leaves Philly with, what else, total class
The best 2011 games were when Joe Blanton or Kyle Kendrick were pitching.
But only for one reason. Because you knew the inevitable shot of the dugout was coming, in which we'd probably see Roy Halladay, Cliff Lee, Roy Oswalt, and Cole Hamels all sitting together, cracking jokes, smiling knowingly, or just sitting there, staring into the distance, imagining humiliated batter after humiliated batter.
Those days are long over, and as the second of the four aces left us yesterday, he did so under his own free will with his whole life ahead of him.
