right on Fitzwater Street? Well, after almost a year on the market for $4.25 million, the unique Bella Vista property just took a $500,000 price cut.
Now listed for $3.75 million, the cast stone home has an Art Deco interior with many furnishings from France. It includes luxury features such as an in-ground heated Jacuzzi, a waterfall, lighted fountains, Belgium black marble sculptures, and handmade wrought iron railings over the floating staircase.
Spain, the founder of Philadelphia Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) and owner of DLG Communications and McSpain Properties, was inspired to build this home after many trips to France with her former husband, Michael.
"We traveled a lot to France and we fell in love with design style that featured cast stone," she told us earlier this year.
The three-bedroom, three-full bath home also includes a gym, a 370-bottle wine cellar, an elevator and a four-car garage.
The outdoor façade is made up of 1,700 individual pieces of cast stone blocks. This was the most extensive part of the construction process, which took three years.
Spain is selling the home to downsize.
