Sold: Cliff Lee's condo at 1706 Rittenhouse
On Monday, Phillies former pitcher Cliff Lee sold his magnificent Rittenhouse condo for $6.55 million, as confirmed by listing agent Laurie Phillips at BHHS Fox & Roach.
In April, Lee put his 4,166-square-foot home at 1706 Rittenhouse Square on the market for $6.9 million. Public records show that Lee purchased the home in January 2011 – after signing his second contract with the Phillies – for $4.85 million.
The condo, located on the 20th floor, has three bedrooms and three bathrooms. It features a gourmet eat-in kitchen, master suite with walk-in closet and marble bathroom, plus a large terrace with a view of the city skyline.
"The views, offered on all four sides, are extraordinary," Phillips said. "It's also a spectacularly decorated home."
The high-amenity building offers 24-hour concierge services, an indoor pool, fitness center, and one automated garage parking spaces.
Before moving to Little Rock, Arkansas, the Lees counted Jonathan Papelbon and Ryan Howard as neighbors in 1706 Rittenhouse. For those interested in living in the lap of luxury, Phillips tells us there is one more full-floor residence available on the 7th floor of the building.
