Until recently, the unique Hunterdon County home, about 50 miles outside of Philly, had remained in the original family ever since.
The home sold earlier this year for $220,000, after it was on the market for more than a year-and-a-half. It was first listed in June 2013 for $299,000.
Not much has changed about the home since it was built. As interior photos show, the home is in need of repair, and was sold "as-is."
Listing agent Andrea Mergentime told us that the new owner, an artist, has plans to restore the gem.
The home has a wall of windows, a two-sided fireplace, and a sunken living area. An original George Nakashima server separates the kitchen from the dining area.
The 1,056-square-foot home is situated on three acres, and has three bedrooms and one bath.
This home is one of several designed by Gregory in the region. According to Mergentime, the noted architect designed this home to introduce "his vision of an economical home."
Gregory's former personal residence in Lambertville, about 10 miles away from the Butterfly House, is currently on the market for $899,000.
