Brian Dawkins named semifinalist for Pro Football Hall of Fame class in first year on ballot
Former Eagles safety Brian Dawkins was named a semifinalist for the 2017 Pro Football Hall of Fame class in his first year on the ballot. Dawkins, one of the iconic players in franchise history, is one of four first-year eligible candidates among the 26 players on the ballot.
The other players on the ballot in their first year with eligibility are defensive end Jason Taylor, running back LaDainian Tomlinson, and wide receiver Hines Ward.
