Schwartz on Bradham: 'You do enough dumb-ass things ...'
It was Eagles defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz's turn Thursday to criticize linebacker Nigel Bradham, who was arrested last weekend for carrying a loaded weapon in a backpack at Miami International Airport. This followed another arrest in South Florida in late July for allegedly slugging a hotel employee.
Schwartz is the guy who persuaded the Eagles to sign Bradham. He played for Schwartz in Buffalo in 2014.
"The worst thing I've ever forgotten (to take out of my bag) at the airport was a razor or a belt or something like that,'' Schwartz said. "I'm the guy in line who, if the person five people ahead of him has a bottle of water in their luggage, I'm throwing my hands up (and saying), 'Seriously, do you not ever travel? Do you not know you can't take water in?'
"This takes it to a different level. The most disappointing thing for me is it takes away from the Nigel that we see every day. A good teammate. A hard worker. A trustworthy player on the field.
"But hey, facts are facts. You do enough dumb-ass things, pretty soon, you're going to be labeled a dumb ass. He's got some ground to make up. He's got to earn some trust back.''
