Five things you need to know about the 76ers today

Five things you need to know about the 76ers today

1. Joel Embiid is the first rookie with at least 23 blocks in his first 10 games since Kenyon Martin blocked 31 in his first 10 games with the New Jersey Nets during the 2000-2001 season.  Martin's 31 blocks came in 338 minutes, while Embiid's 23 came in 222.

2. Tonight's opponent – the Memphis Grizzlies – has had the Sixers' number. The Grizzlies have won the last seven series meetings.

3. Embiid ranks fifth in the NBA in blocks at 2.3 per game. His average of 22.2 minutes played is the fewest by three minutes of any player ranked in the top 10 in blocks.

4. This is the anniversary of one of Allen Iverson's top scoring performances. He scored 45 points in a loss to the Milwaukee Bucks on Nov. 23, 2005.

5. The Nik Stauskas that Sixers fans longed for is showing up. The reserve guard is ranked seventh in the league in three-point percentage at 46.0 percent.
