Sixers decline qualifying offers to Sims, Robinson III
It appears the tenures of center Henry Sims and swingman Glen Robinson III as 76ers are over.
The team declined to make qualifying offers to the two Tuesday, making them unrestricted free agents. Free agency begins at midnight.
Sims would have made $1.18 million for the 2015-16 season from the Sixers. Robinson was scheduled to make $1 million.
The 6-foot-11 Sims averaged 8.0 points and 4.9 rebounds in 19.2 rebounds this past season. The Sixers acquired him in a trade with the Cleveland Cavaliers in February 2014.
They claimed Robinson off waivers from the Minnesota Timberwolves on March 7. The rookie, who signed a one-year deal with Minnesota, played in 10 games with the Sixers, averaging 1.0 point and 1.4 rebounds.
