Paul Bearer to be inducted into WWE Hall of Fame

The WWE announced Monday that William Moody, better known to WWE fans as Paul Bearer, will be posthumously inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame this year in New Orleans.

Moody's career in wrestling began during the 1970s where he briefly wrestled in the ring himself before transitioning to managing.

He worked for numerous territories in the southern United States as Percival "Percy" Pringle III, where he managed stars such as "Ravishing" Rick Rude and "Stunning" Steve Austin, who eventually became "Stone Cold" Steve Austin.

Moody's biggest claim to fame was when he made his way to the WWE as Paul Bearer, where managed the Undertaker.

For years, Moody was synonymous with the Undertaker with his ghoulish looks and his high-pitched voice. He proved to be the perfect complement for the tall, brooding giant. It also didn't hurt that Moody was a real-life undertaker, as he earned his degree in mortuary science from San Antonio College in San Antonio, Texas.

Moody passed away March 5, 2013 at the age of 58.
