Jenkintown native Bradley Cooper was ranked 2015’s fourth-highest paid actor by Forbes magazine, raking in $41.5 million before taxes and fees between June 1, 2014 and June 1, 2015.
Jenkintown native Bradley Cooper has something to show for his stellar "American Sniper"-propelled year. He was ranked 2015's fourth-highest paid actor by Forbes magazine, raking in $41.5 million before taxes and fees between June 1, 2014 and June 1, 2015.
West Philly's Will Smith landed the #18 spot on the list, which includes 34 actors from seven countries, with $26 million, thanks, in part, to his film "Focus," which grossed $154 million worldwide.
The highest-paid actor, for a third consecutive year, was "Avengers" star Robert Downey Jr. who earned $80 million for the year, beating his runner up, Jackie Chan, by $30 million. Cooper's fortune was also one-upped by "Fast and Furious" franchise actor Vin Diesel who made $47 million for the year.
Forbes attributed Cooper's production credit for "American Sniper" to his hefty fortune. The film, based on the late U.S. Navy SEAL Chris Kyle, grossed more than $337 million domestically. Another actor who has crossed over into producing is "Mission: Impossible" star Tom Cruise, who snagged the list's sixth spot with $40 million.
