Child, two adults injured in morning fire

Three people were taken to a local hospital after an early morning fire in East Mount Airy.

Three people were taken to a local hospital in serious condition after an early morning fire in East Mount Airy.

A 58-year-old male jumped from a third-floor window with a four-year-old child, police said. A female was rescued by firefighters.

The fire broke out in a two-story twin in the 200 block of East Cliveden Street at 4:41 a.m., fire officials said. It was under control in less than an hour.

The origin and cause of the blaze are under investigation.
