Kevin C. Clothier was promoted to corporate controller from assistant corporate controller.

Continental Bank, of Plymouth Meeting, has hired Kendall Halpern McGinn as vice president and business development officer. She had been vice president for market development at Allegiance in Bala Cynwyd.

Charles C. Cornelio has been named president of Lincoln Financial Group's defined-contribution business, which operates retirement-savings plans. Cornelio had been chief administrative officer of Lincoln Financial.

Meridian Bank of Devon has promoted Charles F. Hoopes Jr. to vice president for technology and security. Hoopes had been technology officer.

Timothy J. Carney has been named vice president of health care for SunGard Availability Services L.P., a Wayne provider of disaster-recovery services and business continuity software. Carney had been an enterprise vice president with McKesson Corp., Alpharetta, Ga.

Resource America Inc. has named Thomas C. Elliott chief financial officer. He had been senior vice president of finance and operations.
