Ansaris, a drug discovery company that is a division of Locus Pharmaceuticals, a privately held biopharmaceutical company, elected Christopher M. Cashman to its board. Cashman was the CEO of Protez Pharmaceuticals, acquired by Novartis in 2008.
Associated Builders and Contractors, New Jersey Chapter, a trade organization, elected Brian P. Wiest treasurer. He is a senior accountant at Wouch, Maloney & Co. L.L.P., Horsham.
Carolyn Short was elected to the board of directors of the Pennsylvania Innocence Project, a nonprofit project housed at Temple University's Beasley School of Law that works to exonerate people convicted wrongly of crimes. Smart is a partner at Reed Smith and is a former Philadelphia assistant district attorney.
The University of the Arts, Philadelphia, elected Jeffrey A. Lutsky to its board of trustees. He is managing partner at Stradley Ronon Stevens & Young L.L.P., Philadelphia.
James F. Kilcur, a partner in the labor, employment, and employee benefits practice group at Saul Ewing L.L.P., was elected to a three-year term on the board of the Irish American Business Chamber and Network.
The Exton Region Chamber of Commerce said it would install Samuel W. Cortes chair of the board Jan. 4. He is an attorney with Fox Rothschild L.L.P. and represents clients in disputes in state and federal courts and arbitration proceedings.
Rosemont College, a Catholic college, elected Judith Wilkinson chair of the board of trustees. She succeeds Ronald R. Remick. Wilkinson is a founding partner of Joele Frank, Wilkinson Brimmer Katcher, New York.

David J. Logan is an investment officer at Mill Creek Capital Advisors L.L.C. and is a principal of the firm.
Clare Frances Mackie is a community volunteer, and a commercial actress, writer and singer. She is a current and founding member of the Arts and Culture Society at Rosemont, and has taught three music classes for the Rosemont Forum.
Robert J. Massa is vice president for communications at Lafayette College.
Ann Rosewater was elected board president of the Juvenile Law Center, a Philadelphia nonprofit public-interest law firm. Rosewater provides consultation services to national foundations, universities, not-for-profit and governmental organizations. Mark Courtney, a professor at the University of Chicago's School of Social Service Administration, was named to the board.
The Philadelphia Workforce Investment Board reelected Roosevelt Hairston Jr. as its chair for a second two-year term. He is the executive vice president for government affairs and general counsel at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.
