Carmen Italia, president of the Montgomery County Economic Development Corp., is treasurer.
Qlik Technologies Inc., a Radnor software developer of analytical and search computer programs for businesses, has appointed Deborah Hopkins to its board. She is chief innovation officer of Citi. Before joining Citi, Hopkins was chief financial officer at Boeing Co. and Lucent Technologies Inc.
OraSure Technologies Inc., a Bethlehem, Pa., company that provides oral-fluid specimen-collection devices, has appointed Stephen S. Tang to its board. He is president and chief executive officer of the University City Science Center, an urban research park and business incubator based in Philadelphia.
The Academy of Natural Sciences, the Philadelphia museum of natural history founded in 1812, has elected the following members to its governing board of trustees:
Patrick M. Oates is president and CEO of Orisun Therapeutics, an early-stage pharmaceutical company, and was director of government affairs and scientific relations for Cherokee Pharmaceuticals L.L.C., Philadelphia.
Ann Reed was a founding partner of P & R Associates and worked as a microbiologist at Ciba-Geigy AG.
Anthony Moore is principal and CEO of Paradigm Group Consultants, Philadelphia.
John J. Soroko is chairman and CEO of Duane Morris L.L.P., Philadelphia, and was a member of the transition team for Gov. Corbett.
The Public Interest Law Center of Philadelphia has elected Carlos S. Montoya and Joseph W. Marshall 3d to its board. Montoya is assistant general counsel at Aramark Healthcare and is joining the board after serving as an ex-officio member. Marshall is vice chairman of Stevens & Lee P.C. and Griffin Holdings, and previously was chairman and CEO of the Temple University Health System.
Adam L. Fernandez has joined the board of Gateway Employment Resources Inc., a nonprofit organization that helps people with disabilities secure and maintain competitive employment. Fernandez is a member of the business, tax, and estates practice groups at Wisler Pearlstine L.L.P., Blue Bell.

Shalom is a nonprofit nonsectarian school and behavioral-health agency that supports and offers treatment for children and adults facing issues including domestic abuse, addiction, bullying, anger, and violence. Hamilton is general manager of SugarHouse Casino, Philadelphia.
The SeniorLAW Center, a Philadelphia-based nonprofit organization that protects the legal rights of older Pennsylvanians, has named Braden A. Borger to its board. Borger is an associate in the litigation department of Saul Ewing L.L.P., Philadelphia.
Tengion Inc., an East Norriton regenerative-medicine company, has named Ben Humphreys and Giuseppe Remuzzi to its panel of research and development advisers. Humphreys is an assistant professor of medicine at Harvard Medical School, principal faculty member of the Harvard Stem Cell Institute, and co-director of the Harvard Stem Cell Institute Kidney Program. Remuzzi is the head of nephrology and dialysis and chairman of the department of transplantation at Bergamo Hospital, and head of the Negri Bergamo Laboratories.
