Goldenberg is the vice president of planning for the Center City District. Smith is the chief executive officer, president and trustee of Delaware Optimum Funds.

to its board. Goldenberg is the vice president of planning for the Center City District. Smith is the chief executive officer, president and trustee of Delaware Optimum Funds.

Rite Aid Corp., the Camp Hill drugstore chain, said it had appointed John M. Baumer to its board. He is a partner with the private equity firm Leonard Green & Partners L.P., an affiliate of Green Equity Investors III L.P., which has the right to elect a director under an agreement with Rite Aid regarding purchase of Rite Aid preferred stock in October 1999. Green replaces Jon Sokoloff, managing partner of Leonard Green & Partners, who resigned.

Tangent Energy Solutions, a Kennett Square firm that is developing sustainable-energy strategies, appointed Nora Mead Brownell, Richard Grigg and Donald Kendall to its board. Mead Brownell is a former commissioner for the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission and the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission. Grigg most recently was president of FirstEnergy Utilities. Kendall is founding managing director and CEO of Kenmont.

J. Bradford McIlvain was appointed to the executive committee of the board of the March of Dimes' Southeastern Pennsylvania Division, where he will be chair of the division's Revenue and Development Standing Committee. McIlvain is a partner in the Philadelphia office of Archer & Greiner, and is Pennsylvania chair of the firm's Construction and Real Estate Litigation Practice.

Ed Hutchinson, principal and president of Hutchinson Mechanical Services, Cherry Hill, was elected to the board of Churchill Casualty Ltd., a captive insurance company based in the Cayman Islands.

The Smart Energy Initiative of Southern Pennsylvania, a regional, public-private energy industry partnership sponsored by the Chester County Economic Development Council, appointed Catharine Swan to its board. She is executive director of residential energy and efficiency, and of the Eco-Academy at GREENandSAVE L.L.C.

AmerisourceBergen Corp., a Chesterbrook drug distributor, appointed Steven H. Collis, president and chief operating officer, to its board. Collis will be a member of the executive and finance committee of the board and will succeed R. David Yost, chief executive officer, when Yost retires July 1.

The Medical Society of New Jersey, a Lawrenceville professional society founded in 1766, installed Niranjan Rao as its 219th president. Rao is chief of vascular surgery and vice president of the medical staff at St. Peter's University Hospital.

Emily J. Barnhart was elected to the board of the American Historical Theatre, a Philadelphia-based, nonprofit cultural organization. She is an associate at Blank Rome L.L.P.

Lisa Calvo Haas was elected to the board of trustees of Magee Rehabilitation Hospital, a nonprofit Philadelphia hospital. She is a member and director of business development at Cozen O'Connor.

Holy Family University, Philadelphia, appointed Matthew G. McFillin to its board of trustees. McFillin is a director in the Philadelphia forensic practice of KPMG L.L.P.

Delaware Valley College, Doylestown, appointed Helen Piszek Nelson, W. Thomas Lomax, and Charles J. Alpuche to its board. Piszek Nelson is president of the Copernicus Society of America and vice president of Emlen House Enterprises Inc. Lomax is chief financial officer of the Lomax Cos. Alpuche is a retired senior vice president of supply chain operations for Pepsi-Cola, North America.

William P. Isele was elected vice chair of the New Jersey State Bar Association Elder and Disability Law Section. He is an attorney at Archer & Greiner P.C. in Princeton.

The National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors-Pennsylvania, a statewide Harrisburg professional association, elected the following officers and members for 2011-12:

Jason Muskey, owner of Muskey Financial Services, Moosic, is president.

B. Douglas Trainer, a financial adviser at Weigner-Trainer-Floyd Agency, Pine Forge, is president-elect.

Eric Weinberg, owner of Weinberg Financial Services, South Abington Township, is vice president.

David L. Barrist, senior vice president of Barrist Insurance Group, Bala Cynwyd, is secretary.
