He is a lawyer and founding partner of the Gonzales Tiagha law firm in Philadelphia and also served in the Solicitor's Office for the City of Philadelphia.

Walter Unangst has been hired as first vice president and health-care team leader at First Niagara Financial Group. He had been senior vice president/team leader of the Healthcare Financial Services Group at TD Bank. Rand Siegel has been named first vice president, private banking relationship manager. He had been senior vice president, relationship manager at Sovereign Bank.

Cabrini College, Radnor, has hired Steven Feld as vice president for finance and administration-treasurer. He had been executive vice president of administrative affairs and chief financial officer at Newberry College in South Carolina.

Shire P.L.C., the global specialty biopharmaceutical company, has hired Gwen Fisher as senior corporate communications director for Specialty Pharma. She was senior director, global media relations and communications for Pfizer Inc.

Pennoni Associates, Haddonfield, has hired Thomas Leisse as senior engineer in its Municipal Division. He had been project engineer and manager of Municipal Services for CES.

TD Bank has hired William W. Hutchinson as vice president in commercial real estate finance in Philadelphia. He had been vice president in the real estate banking group at Wells Fargo in Philadelphia.

Goodwill Industries of Southern New Jersey & Philadelphia, a Maple Shade nonprofit, community-based organization, has appointed Jennifer L. Mauro as director of mission services. She had been administrator and assistant director for the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development.

Walter J. Koch has been named professor of pharmacology at Temple University School of Medicine and director of Temple's newly established Center for Translational Medicine. He had been the W.W. Smith Professor of Medicine, director of the Center for Translational Medicine and the vice chairman of research at Jefferson Medical College.
