Beth Duffy has been promoted to chief operating officer of Einstein Medical Center Montgomery, a new facility in East Norriton, opening in September. She had been vice president and director, activation planning.

The MEMIC Group (Maine Employers' Mutual Insurance Co.), Portland, Maine, hired Katrinka Casamassa as a senior underwriter for the company's new operation in Pennsylvania based in Conshohocken. Casamassa had been managing director, global technology Great Lakes — Philadelphia at Travelers.

C.F. Martin & Co., the Nazareth manufacturer of acoustic guitars and strings, hired Kit Culpepper as director of U.S. sales. She had been senior manager of talent development at RAI Services Co.

Bertram L. Lawson 2d was named group vice president of the YMCA of Philadelphia & Vicinity. He will retain his responsibilities as executive director of the West Philadelphia YMCA.

Urban Engineers Inc., a Philadelphia provider of planning, design, and construction services, promoted Gerald C. O'Neill to general manager and senior vice president for transportation and facilities management services from director of construction services.

Fanatics, an online retailer of officially licensed sports merchandise, hired Jack Boyle as president of merchandising. He was general merchandise manager, women's and intimate apparel at Kohl's Corp.

Julie Hawkins was named program director for Drexel University's Arts Administration program, part of the Antoinette Westphal College of Media Arts & Design. Hawkins, an assistant professor, succeeds Cecelia Fitzgibbon, who was appointed president of Moore College of Art & Design in February.

Daniel V. Schidlow was appointed the Walter H. and Leonore Annenberg dean and senior vice president, medical affairs, for Drexel University's College of Medicine. He was interim dean and senior vice president. Schidlow had served as professor of pediatrics, pharmacology and physiology, and chair of the department of pediatrics.

The Bank of Princeton, Princeton, named Edward J. Dietzler president. He had been acting president and executive vice president and chief operating officer.

Diane T. Brendley and Jozsef Szoke have been named assistant vice presidents of the New Jersey Manufacturers Insurance Co. West Trenton. Brendley was director of HR business. Szoke was manager, assistant secretary and director.

LeAnn Talbot was named senior vice president of Freedom region of Comcast Corp. and will oversee operations in Greater Philadelphia, New Jersey and Northern Delaware. She had been senior vice president of Comcast's Greater Chicago Region in central and northern Illinois, northwest Indiana and southwest Michigan.

DMW Direct, a Philadelphia direct-response advertising agency, promoted Candice Ditzel to account manager from senior account executive.

Futura Mobility L.L.C., a Philadelphia provider of software and managed services, hired Paul Chiaro as director of field services. He joins Futura from Xerox/ACS, where he was the services director for the Cooper Medical System.

Martin F. Farrell was named vice president for development and alumni relations at Saint Joseph's University. He had been vice president and executive director of development at Malvern Preparatory School.

Saladax Biomedical Inc., a privately Bethlehem developer of medical-diagnostic products, hired Kevin M. Harter as president and chief executive officer. Harter is a cofounder and senior vice president of the Life Science Greenhouse, a public-private life sciences investment partnership. He has been interim CEO of Saladax since January.

Chris Glover was appointed manufacturing director at Sartomer USA L.L.C., an Exton unit of Arkema Group. He will also become Americas regional manufacturing director for Altuglas International, another Arkema Group business, with responsibility for plants in the United States and Mexico. He had been director of industrial safety for Arkema Inc. and plant manager for Altuglas facilities in Bristol, Pa., and Kensington, Conn.
