Jerry Pappert has joined the commercial litigation group of Philadelphia law firm Cozen O'Connor. He also will work with Cozen O'Connor Public Strategies, a bipartisan government-relations firm. Formerly, Pappert was executive vice president, general counsel, and secretary of Cephalon Inc. and is a former Pennsylvania attorney general. He is current chairman of the Pennsylvania Banking and Securities Commission.

 Philadelphia Financial Group Inc., Philadelphia, hired James Hom as executive vice president and chief financial officer. He had been CFO at Metropolitan Life Insurance Co. in New York

Howard A. Cohen has been appointed professor of medicine and director of the Institute of Interventional Medicine at Temple University School of Medicine and director of interventional cardiology and the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratories at Temple University Hospital. Cohen had been director of the division of cardiac intervention, and co-director of Cardiovascular Interventional Laboratories at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York.

  Levine de Luca & Hamilton, Blue Bell, said Michael R. Fox and Raymond E. Mack have been named partners of the firm.

University of the Arts has appointed Kay F. Williams as dean of its College of Performing Arts and Catherine Gunther Kodat as dean of the Division of Liberal Arts. Williams operated SiG Productions L.L.C. in Washington. Kodat had been director of American studies at Hamilton College.

   Delaware County Chamber of Commerce hired Suzanne Cody as membership marketing and sales manager. She had been account coordinator at Clear Sound Professional Audio & Video.

Firstrust Bank, Conshohocken, said Mike Han and Carl Bieber have been hired in the commercial-banking team as vice president/relationship manager and business-development officer of the Small Business Administration unit. Han had been vice president at MoreBank. Bieber was the lead lender for the SBA Lending Program at Customers Bank.

Dilworth Paxson L.L.P., Philadelphia, hired Karen L. Palestini as a partner in the corporate and business department and chair of the firm's health-care practice group. She had been a partner at Reed Smith L.L.P., Philadelphia, and Saul Ewing L.L.P. in Princeton.

Allebach Communications, a Souderton advertising, marketing and communications firm, hired Andrew Dunlap as an account coordinator. He had been promotions coordinator at Entercom Communications.
