Philadelphia Works, a government-funded workforce development organization, said the following board members have been appointed by Mayor Nutter: Andrea Agnew, senior director of diversity and inclusion for Comcast Cable Communications; Regine Metellus, chief operating officer of the Urban League of Philadelphia; and James Nichols, assistant regional director, Eastern Region, of the Pennsylvania Bureau of Workforce Development Partnership.

Main Line Chamber Foundation, Wayne, elected the following officers and board members: Matthew W. Donahoe, senior vice president of the Addis Group, is chairman; Anna J. Ellmer, owner of Anna J. Ellmer CPA L.L.C., is treasurer; Bernard Dagenais, president of the Main Line Chamber of Commerce, is president.

Directors include Jennifer Bailer, producer of the Main Line Jazz and Food Festival; Eileen Connolly-Robbins, executive vice president and chief operating officer of the Main Line Chamber of Commerce; Kevin Goldstein, a partner at Stradley Ronon Stevens & Young L.L.P.; Christian C. Hoyt, president and CEO of Pay USA Inc.; Jeffrey Lenderman, vice president, employee benefits of USI Affinity; Kevin J. Nolan, president of Nolan Painting Inc.; Joseph E. Tankle, president and CEO of the Upper Main Line YMCA; Tony VanDyke, first assistant chief of the Merion Fire Company; and Brenda Viola, executive, public relations, at Medical Solutions Supplier.

Delaware Valley Green Building Council elected the following board officers: Abigail Perlstein O'Brien, a senior sales executive at County Line Nurseries Inc., is chair; Patrick Bolger, senior project executive at Turner Construction, is president; Marla Thalheimer, director of sustainability for Liberty Property Trust, is vice chair; James Kerr, director of sustainability/contract manager at IMC Construction, is treasurer; Christa Duelberg Kraftician, an associate with Spillman Farmer Architects, is secretary. Board members include: Aman Desouza, director of innovation and product sustainability for CertainTeed Corp.,; Michael Pavelsky, an associate and sustainability director at the Sheward Partnership L.L.C.; and Matt Weko, senior vice president of Jones Lang LaSalle.

Edna G. Kynett Memorial Foundation Inc., which funds programs focusing on the prevention and cure of cardiovascular disease, has elected Frank James to its board of trustees. He is associate chair, division of cardiovascular disease, at the Einstein Health Network.

Zane Robinson Wolf has been elected to the Pennsylvania State Nurses Association's board of directors. Wolf is a professor of nursing and dean emerita of the School of Nursing and Health Sciences at La Salle University.

Children's Literacy Initiative, Philadelphia, has named David J. Bloom chair. He is senior relationship manager of Hawthorn, PNC Family Wealth.

H. Brad Kerr has been elected to the board of the Pathway School, Norristown. Kerr is the first vice president and branch manager for Janney Montgomery Scott L.L.C. in Blue Bell.

Optimal Strategix Group, a Newtown provider of marketing-strategy consulting, analytics, and customized research services, named Samuel Morasca Jr. and David Motley to its board. Morasca is senior partner of SOLIDexecutive Inc. Motley is senior managing director of Headwaters SC. - Mike Zebe
