Pa. casinos see small rise in table revenues

Gamblers lost $62.18 million in April playing poker and other table games at Pennsylvania casinos, the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board reported Monday.

Gamblers lost $62.18 million in April playing poker and other table games at Pennsylvania casinos, the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board reported Monday.

The table-game revenues were up just 0.4 percent compared to last April, excluding the results of Lady Luck Casino Nemacolin, which opened July 1.

Increases at Sands Casino Resort Bethlehem and SugarHouse Casino in Philadelphia were offset by steep declines at the Meadows Racetrack and Casino near Pittsburgh, with a 56 percent decline, and at Hollywood Casino at Penn National Race Course, which reported a 28 percent decline.

Including Nemacolin, results in April were up 1 percent. - Harold Brubaker
