Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, Philadelphia, named the following resident trustees: Robert Friedman, chair of the private-client services group at Cozen O'Connor; Susan Hendrickson, partner at Dechert L.L.P., Philadelphia; Jonathan Newman, CEO and chairman of Newman Wine and former chairman of the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board, and Richard Snowden, owner and president of Bowman Properties and president of Cotiga Development Co., Williamson, W.Va.

The Library Company of Philadelphia, a nonprofit, independent research library specializing in American history and culture from the 17th through the 19th centuries, named to its board Louise Scheide Marshall, former curator of maps and prints at the American Antiquarian Society in Worcester, Mass.; Daniel K. Richter, the Roy F. and Jeannette P. Nichols professor of American History and the Richard S. Dunn director of the McNeil Center for Early American Studies at the University of Pennsylvania, and Edward M. Waddington, managing director of Smart Devine & Co. L.L.C.
Gov. Corbett has appointed Integra Realty Resources senior managing director Joseph Pasquarella to the Pennsylvania State Board of Certified Real Estate Appraisers.
The Riddle Hospital medical staff has elected William H. Ayers Jr. president of the staff. Ayers, a general surgeon, serves as campus chief of the department of surgery at Riddle Hospital and is medical director of the Riddle Hospital Comprehensive Breast Center.
