Jeffrey D. Zudeck joined Marcum L.L.P., a national accounting and advisory services firm, as partner in charge of the firm's Philadelphia region. Zudeck assumes management of the office from David Glusman, who remains a partner. Zudeck had been chief financial officer of Fundamental Holdings Ltd., an investment banking firm.

PMA Companies, Blue Bell, promoted Derek R. Hopper to vice president, corporate distribution management, from assistant vice president, commercial markets underwriting.

Jewish Family Service, a Margate, N.J., nonprofit, hired Mara Bienstock as chief financial officer. She had been financial officer at Samost Jewish Family and Children's Service of Southern New Jersey in Cherry Hill.

University of the Sciences, Philadelphia, hired Dale Trusheim as associate vice president for institutional effectiveness, Casey J. Ryan as director of alumni relations, and Nancy Mansfield as director of individual giving. Trusheim was assistant provost for institutional research and assessment at Washington College in Maryland, Ryan assistant director of Penn Alumni Regional Clubs at the University of Pennsylvania, and Mansfield director of development and membership at the College of Physicians of Philadelphia.

Y-Prime Inc., a Malvern provider of e-clinical products and consulting services, hired Richard Gastineau as chief operating officer and general counsel. Gastineau, a lawyer and entrepreneur, was cofounder, president, and general counsel of Beacon Bioscience Inc., and guided the company through its acquisition by the global clinical research giant ICON P.L.C.

Franklin Square, a Philadelphia manager of alternative investment funds, promoted Michael F. Gerber to executive vice president, managing director from managing director. Gerber also serves as president of the Franklin Square Capital Partners Foundation, the firm's charitable affiliate. He served eight years in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives.

Amie Barnes was promoted to media strategist in the search engine marketing department of Harmelin Media, Bala Cynwyd, from media analyst.

Day & Zimmermann, a Philadelphia provider of industrial, defense, and workforce services, named its chief information officer, Anthony Bosco, as president of Yoh, a Day & Zimmermann company focused on professional staffing.

Medgenics Inc., a biotechnology company in Wayne and Misgav, Israel, hired Scott Applebaum as chief legal officer. He had been senior vice president of the neuroscience business unit of Shire Pharmaceuticals, based in Nyon, Switzerland.

Hirtle Callaghan, a Philadelphia company that provides outsourced chief investment officers to firms, hired John W. Griffith, former chief financial officer and treasurer of Bryn Mawr College, as endowment risk manager.

Janney Montgomery Scott L.L.C., Philadelphia, has promoted Kevin Reed senior vice president, head of wealth management, from managing director, Taxable Fixed Income.

Anti-Defamation League of Eastern Pennsylvania/Southern New Jersey/Delaware promoted Nancy Baron-Baer to regional director from associate regional director.

Langhorne Physician Services, a wholly owned subsidiary of St. Mary Medical Center, appointed Aldo Ciccotelli as vice president and chief medical officer. He serves as chair of the Medical Center's department of family medicine and maintains a private practice in Langhorne.

Natalie Moore was hired as director of marketing and sales at Henkels & McCoy Inc., a diversified Blue Bell engineering and utility infrastructure firm. She had been commercial manager, North America and Europe, electronics equipment division, at Air Products & Chemicals Inc.

John Latchaw was promoted to account executive at Devine & Partners, a Philadelphia public relations agency, from assistant account executive.

Diversified Search, a Philadelphia executive search firm, hired Kent John Chabotar as managing director of its presidential higher education practice, where he will also engage in selected searches for new CFOs. He had been president and professor of political science at Guilford College.

Christopher E. McTiernan was hired as vice president, chief payer relations officer, for Einstein Healthcare Network. He had been vice president, provider contracting and reimbursement, for Independence Blue Cross.

Drexel University, Philadelphia, appointed Randall C. Deike senior vice president of its new division of enrollment management and student success. He been vice president of enrollment management at New York University since 2009.

Lincoln Financial Group, Radnor, hired Chris A. Giovanni as senior vice president and head of investor relations. Giovanni will assume the role from James Sjoreen, who announced this year that he would retire at the end of 2014. He had been vice president, lead life insurance analyst, within global investment research at Goldman Sachs & Co.

Comcast Corp., Philadelphia, hired Julie Laine as vice president, chief transaction compliance officer, and senior deputy general counsel. She had been group vice president and chief counsel, regulatory, at Time Warner Cable Inc.

Law firm Lauletta Birnbaum L.L.C. in Sewell, hired Chris Wisniewski as counsel and Sarah Cohen and Jonathan Gremminger as associates. Wisniewski was special counsel at Duane Morris L.L.P. Cohen served as an appellate law clerk in the Superior Court of New Jersey Appellate Division. Gremminger is a sergeant with the Marine Corps Reserve and trained local troops in Afghanistan.

Cynthia Bonney was appointed executive director of Pathstones by Phoebe, Allentown. Bonney has been an employee of Phoebe Ministries since 1999 and was most recently executive director of Phoebe Wyncote.

Eileen MacDonald was named executive director of Arc of Delaware County, a Swarthmore nonprofit. She had been development director at Arc as well as the social recreation coordinator.
