SPIN, a nonprofit provider of services to children and adults with intellectual, developmental, and autism spectrum disabilities in Philadelphia and the Lehigh Valley, has elected the officers to its corporate board: Frank Breslin, Philadelphia deputy revenue commissioner; Sister Trudy Helder, principal of Christ the King Elementary School; Kathleen Neumeister, faculty member at La Salle University School of Nursing and adjunct faculty, Drexel University School of Nursing; Anthony Piccari, acquisition specialist for Defense Logistics Agency; and Nick Scarboro, senior manager of SP+ Corp.

Officers were elected for one-year terms as follows: Sharon Koppelman, board chair; Marie T. Leonard, immediate past chair; Piccari, treasurer; and Helder, secretary. Kathleen Brown McHale is SPIN's CEO and president.

Northern Children's Services, a Philadelphia social-services agency providing behavioral health and welfare services to children and families throughout the Philadelphia area, has elected the following trustees to its board: Christine O'Brien, lawyer at Timoney Knox L.L.P.; Robin Robinowitz, communications manager at Campaign for Working Families; Robert Small, partner at Reger, Rizzo & Darnell L.L.P.; Erika Tapp, president of FINATA Community Development Corp.; and Jennifer Wieclaw, special counsel at Duane Morris L.L.P.

Incyte Corp., a Wilmington biopharmaceutical company, has elected Jean-Jacques Bienaimé and Paul J. Clancy to its board. Bienaimé is chief executive officer of BioMarin Pharmaceutical Inc. Clancy is executive vice president, finance, and chief financial officer of Biogen Idec Inc.

David W. Young, executive director of Cliveden of the National Trust in Germantown, has been appointed to the National Historic Landmarks Committee of the National Park System Advisory Board. The committee reviews and advises on nominations for National Historic Landmark and National Register status.

The Foundation for Breast and Prostate Health, a nonprofit think tank promoting breast and prostate cancer education and prevention, has named advocate Dennis J. Pagliotti to its board. He is president and business manager of Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers Local 1 PA/DE.

David Gutowski, a partner at Reed Smith L.L.P., has been elected to the board of the Parkinson Council in Bala Cynwyd. Gutowski is a member of the firm's state tax group.

Villanova University elected the following to its board of trustees: Francis J. Doyle, prior of the Bellesini Friary; Tom Klein, president and CEO of Sabre Corp.; Nnenna J. Lynch, director of development for the Georgetown Co.; Thomas M. Quindlen, executive vice president and CEO Retail Card, Synchrony Financial; and James Halstead, professor of religious studies at DePaul University.

Carol Nelson Shepherd, founding partner of Feldman Shepherd Wohlgelernter Tanner Weinstock & Dodig L.L.P., Philadelphia, has been elected president of the Homeless Advocacy Project. The nonprofit seeks to address the unmet legal needs of Philadelphia's homeless and shelter populations.

Stacey Kracher has been appointed to the board of Little Smiles PA, a nonprofit that seeks to help children in local hospitals, hospices, shelters, and similar facilities. She is director of marketing at Zarwin Baum DeVito Kaplan Schaer Toddy P.C., Philadelphia.

ACE Mentor Program Eastern Pennsylvania Affiliate Chapter, a Haddonfield nonprofit that engages and encourages high school students to consider careers in design and construction, has named the following board members: Joseph W. Healy, managing principal at WRT, and Trish Harrington, director of business development at L.F. Driscoll.

Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney executive shareholder Steven E. Bizar has been named president of the Philadelphia Bar Foundation for a two-year term.

Carmen Guerra has been named board president of the American Cancer Society's East Central Division for a three-year term. Guerra is an associate professor of medicine in the division of general internal medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania and associate chief of staff and associate director for diversity and outreach at the Abramson Cancer Center of the University of Pennsylvania.

Adam Devlin, cofounder of New Vitae Wellness & Recovery in Quakertown, has been selected to serve on the transition team of Gov. Wolf. He will advise the Human Services Committee on ways to approach the challenges facing the state Department of Human Services.

Maria E. Bermudez has been sworn in as chair of the Young Lawyers Division of the Philadelphia Bar Association, after serving as chair-elect in 2014. She is the first Latina to lead the group. Bermudez is a lawyer at Martin Law concentrating on Social Security and long-term disability.
