Drexel University has named M. Brian Blake as its next provost and executive vice president for academic affairs. Blake, who comes to Drexel from the University of Miami, where he is vice provost for academic affairs and dean of the graduate school, will start in his new position Aug. 1.

Holy Ghost Preparatory School in Bensalem said Father James P. McCloskey will step down as president of the Spiritan institution effective July 1. He will be succeeded by school alumnus, administrator, and educator Gregory J. Geruson, who will become the first lay president in the 118-year history of the all-boys school. Geruson is vice president of the Healey Education Foundation.
Stratford Friends School in Newtown Square said Jill Dougherty has been named head of school beginning July 1. Dougherty is currently head of upper school at Woodlynde School in Strafford.
The City of Philadelphia Mural Arts Program has hired Karl Malkin as chief financial officer. Malkin had been senior consultant to the chief financial officer at Precyse Solutions. Also, Lisa Murch has been promoted to director of art education from project manager.

Welcoming the Stranger, an educational nonprofit that offers free English, computer, and citizenship classes to immigrants and refugees, has announced the retirement of the Rev. S. Sturgis Poorman Jr. as executive director after 16 years with the organization. Meg Eubank has been selected to fill the vacancy left by Sturgis upon his retirement July 1. She is a writing specialist at Bucks County Community College.

Point.io, a Philadelphia provider of a digital engagement platform, has hired Matt Rolph as chief conversationalist. He was at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute completing his Ph.D. in communication and rhetoric was a teaching assistant for a series of courses in human computer interaction.
Liberty Property Trust, Malvern, has named Greydon Sargent III as senior vice president of construction and development for the company in the Southeastern Pennsylvania region. He had been vice president and development manager at Sargent.
