The Pennsylvania SPCA, the advocate for animals since 1867, has elected the following board members: Mary Carroll, senior project manager at CRB; Jennifer Crawford, managing principal at Blackney Hayes Architects; Carol Erickson, former CBS3 meteorologist and anchor and reporter for Calkins Media; and Roland Kassis, founder of Kassis Ventures.

The Delaware County Community Foundation, a Media nonprofit that supports charitable giving in the county through grant making, charitable vehicles, fund management, and community resources, has elected the following to its board: Ty McGillberry, a financial adviser for Wechsler Marisco Simpson; John Reilly, a vice president at 1919 Investment Co.; and Joe Saunders, retired president of Crozer Chester Medical Center.

Thomas Wyatt, a partner at Dilworth Paxson, Philadelphia, has joined the advisory board of After-School All-Stars Philadelphia, a local chapter of the national organization that provides school-based programs including academics, enrichment activities, and health and fitness for middle school-age students.

Philadelphia-based National Disease Research Interchange, a provider of human biospecimens to advance medical disease research, has elected Mary J.C. Hendrix chair. She is president and chief scientific officer of the Stanley Manne Children's Research Institute, Chicago, holds the Children's Research Fund and the William G. Swartchild Jr. Distinguished Research endowed professorships and is and is a member of the Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center.

Eastern National, a Fort Washington not-for-profit that promotes the public's understanding and support of America's national parks and other public trust partners, said George Minnucci, who served as CEO since 2008, has been named board chair. He succeeds Jay Gogue, who remains a board member. John F. Ryan, chief administration officer, has been appointed secretary-treasurer.

John Viglione has joined the advisory board at Pennsylvania State University's College of Information Sciences and Technology. He is executive vice president and chief technology officer at Vertex Inc., Berwyn.

Philadelphia Drug Exchange, a pharmaceutical trade association and the oldest active U.S. trade association, has elected the following to its board: Fred Lutz, director of sales at Constantia Flexibles, is president; Bob Cashman, director of business development at AMRI Global, is vice president; Teddy Frain, vice president of development at Unipak Inc., is treasurer; and Bruce Hepke, president of Eagle Pharma Solutions L.L.C., is secretary/administration manager. Roger Asselta, vice president at Genesis Packaging Technologies, and Thien Dang, associate director, packaging development, at McNeil Consumer Healthcare, were named board directors. - Mike Zebe
