Community Legal Services and Philadelphia Legal Assistance have elected three new members to their overlapping board of directors: William Cobb, a former CLS client and founder of Redeemed; Tom Duffy, founder of Duffy + Partners and the Duffy Fellowship; and Lauren P. McKenna, a partner at Fox Rothschild L.L.P. Founded in 1966, CLS is Philadelphia's oldest and largest nonprofit law firm devoted to ensuring the access to justice for low-income people. PLA has been Philadelphia's federally funded civil legal services provider since 1996.
Stradley Ronon partner E. Carolan Berkley has been appointed by the Secretary of the Commonwealth to the Pennsylvania Department of State Corporation Bureau. The bureau maintains the records repository of more than 2.6 million companies that do business in the commonwealth and serves as the centralized filing office for Uniform Commercial Code financing statements

Spark Therapeutics Inc., a Philadelphia developing gene-therapy company initially focusing on therapies to treat rare diseases, has named Lota Zoth to its board.
