Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa in Atlantic City announced plans to open two new entertainment venues this year, after receiving preliminary approval from the Casino Reinvestment Development Authority to use $14 million of its investment alternative tax payments to help pay for the projects.

In June, Borgata plans to open Borgata Festival Park, an outdoor concert venue and festival grounds. The cost is expected to be between $1 million and $2 million. Live Nation Philadelphia will book the acts, as it does for current Borgata concerts.

Borgata also said that will open a new nightclub later this year, at a cost of $10 million to $14 million.
