The Earth Quaker Action Team, whose protests have targeted Peco Energy Co. with demands for more solar power, now wants the utility to buy 20 percent of its power from solar sources by 2025.

The protesters, who staged their latest action at Peco on Tuesday, say they want Peco to surpass Pennsylvania's renewable energy law, which will require utilities to derive 0.5 percent of their power from solar by 2021.

Solar accounted for 0.6 percent of power generation nationwide in 2015, according to the U.S. Energy Information Administration.
